How to take care of pears

  • To avoid the pearl strands from stretching, always keep your pearls in flat position, and don’t hang them.
  • For protecting your pearls from dust, humidity, or moisture, and scratches, always keep them separately in a fabric-lined jewelry box, or a jewelry pouch.
  • Avoid applying makeup, hairspray, lotion or perfume once your pearls are on. they should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. They should never be in contact of water or get wet. Try to remove them before showering, swimming, or hand washing. If they get wet, just dry them with a soft cloth.
  • To prevent any buildup of oils or any dirt, after removing the pearls, just wipe them with a soft cloth.
  • If you wear them often, every four or five years, ask a jeweler to restring the pearl strands for you.

How to take care of Gold Filled or Gold plated

  • Avoid Wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or washing hands. If they get wet, try to wipe them with a soft cotton cloth.
  • Always put on your jewelry after you’ve applied any products such as lotions, perfumes, makeup, etc. and if you are sunbathing with sunscreen on, it’s the best to remove your jewelry.
  • wipe the jewelry with a soft cloth after each use. If it has been exposed to skin care/hair products, sweat, perfume, etc., rinse it with warm water and dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth. 
  • when you are not wearing your jewelry, put it in an airtight container or plastic bag.

 

How to take care of Sterling Silver

If your sterling silver jewelry looks dull, or starts to turn yellow or black, use a soft polishing cloth or a sterling silver liquid jewelry cleaner.
